An authentic, inspiring glimpse into the lives of real Bible heroes!
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:1).
In a culture plagued with hero-worship of fictional comic book characters, glittering movie celebrities, sports superstars, and music idols, there seems to be a shortage of godly men and women we can admire and model. It's about time we shut off the pop culture and crack open our Bibles to study the people who point us to Jesus!
A true Bible hero, while not always perfect, fixes our eyes upon Jesus. When we carefully study their lives, we will become more Christ-like. As you prayerfully read about Mary Magdalene, Peter, Rahab, Naaman, and many others in this unique study guide, and thoughtfully consider the questions at the end of each chapter with your family, a small group, or on your own, you'll be inspired to reach for a whole new level of faith! May these Bible heroes inspire you to run with endurance the race that is set before you!

A great read!
If you told me the author was writing a book on eleven Bible heroes, and could I guess who they were, about half of the ones presented in this book would not have made my list. Which just means that a hero is one who recognizes the conflicts in the world, and when given the opportunity, chooses the right side - even if it is the unpopular or difficult route.
To confirm and strengthen my faith in God and his promises. Will pass on to a friend or family member once I have completed reading it.
I would request it again for my friends. Love it.
Plan to share it with those in church who may be interested.
i would recommend this book to all my friends and family
