Jesus crossed the angry waves to make a madman whole. He who stilled the stormy sea can calm a raging soul.
The poor creature, half-man and half-beast, was apparently as far from God as anyone could imagine. His home was a tomb, his companions were the nearby snorting pigs. His food was their leftovers. His only clothes were remnants of broken chains and dangling shackles. His deranged mind was the domain of demons. He was the perfect picture of hopelessness.
Until Jesus came.
Based on the extraordinary biblical account of Jesus and the demoniac of Decapolis, this stirring story provides a vivid window into the cosmic conflict between the forces of good and evil. Broken Chains unfolds the wonderful power of God to liberate and transform men and women who are bound in the murkiest depths of sin and provide peace to their raging souls.
Have you ever felt that your spiritual condition was stagnant? Or that your hope for future growth was bleak? Have you ever reached the brink of despair feeling that your personality flaws, bad habits, and selfishness had placed you beyond the reach of redemption? Then this book is the key to unlock the chains that bind you.
All materials from Amazing Facts are outstanding praise the Lord.
Please give me some time, I am going through a hard time.
Just wanted to let you know that I have not had the extra time to read this book that Amazing Facts has shipped me. I am building a Camper and at the same time frame I have to speak to people in the community about Jesus Christ and His True Sabbath day Truth and other Biblical Truths. Please pray for me to do God's Will, because I am failing. Please pray that Tressa Mizer will submit to God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit as well. Thanks again for your encouragement and prayers support. I am a SDA disabled Christian Brother who has been going through a spiritual warfare situation.
If the intro and that bible passage does'nt grab you,put this book down.I'd send that bible passage to Billy Graham if I had the chance,he probably does'nt have time to read anything but the bible these days and we respect that.
Dealing with Demons
Asked a question about the Three Angels' Messages on AF Bible Answers Live and Doug Batchelor sent me a study guide as well as (surprise!) this book. I was surprised to see how it included some really personal experiences from his own life versus it just being an informative book. It was actually timely for I was dealing with a few demons of my own. I hope more people get to read this wonderful book as well as pray and read God's Holy Word for guidance in breaking chains.
Do you want peace for your soul? Read this book.
his is an outstanding book of Biblical references. Jesus comes up in the Boat with his disciples to the Gadrenes and the disciples run back to the boat and leave Jesus with the *****, bloody, crazed man who'd thousands of demons living in him.the poor tormented, tortured soul cried out for Jesus to heal him.The Demons screamed to be cast out into a nearby herd of Swine. Jesus allowed them to do so. The swine ran and jumped off a deep cliff into the water and drowned. The once crazed man sat clean and clothed at Jesus' feet. What does this biblical passage mean for us in the 21st Century? Read this book there are many interesting Biblical comparisons. This is a beautiful gift book.
Broken chains says it all!
I absolutely LOVE this book! It covers so many topics that people struggle with. Because we know there are many chains that the devil try's to bind us with, we as Christians need to stand our ground and reflect the character of Christ. If you are looking for something to motivate your walk with Christ, get this book! God will bless you in your reading. I want to thank Pastor Doug for all the work he does in leading souls to Christ. This book really shows how dedicated he is to his work. Also check out his new one Shadows of Light! God is so good!
