I would buy this again and again

This book changed my life and the way i look at things. None of us know how we will react under dangerous and war times and we know the time is coming where standing for Christ will be dangerous. This makes you think! Do I have the faith that I need? Am I close to God enough? Would i be faithful if my life was in jeopardy? It makes you think. Which i think most of us living in first world countries need a reminder of. Things can change very suddenly and they will.

One of the most thrilling books I've ever read!

I couldn't put the book down. I believe I read it in two sittings. This book will captivate young and old readers and anyone else who is interested in World War II.

Overall a good book

I read this book in under a week which is very fast for me. It definetely contains some amazing stories. For me, some things I learned from it were how hard it is to live in the city during a crisis. While the book doesn't directly address country living the experience of the family shows we definetely don't want to be in the cities when hard times come. In addition the book covered some violent and shocking events, some crimes committed even by the United States soliders. While I generally don't want to hear of such horrific acts (Phillipians 4:8) it was eye opening to know that the United States military can definetely be beastlike. This book I feel is more geared toward Adventists. Overall while at times I wish it contained less violent/immoral events (it is a war though) there are some lessons to be learned in this book.

Gripping Story of Gods Protection

If love reading stories about how God protects his own in the worst of circumtances, this is a book for you. If you love reading about history, then this is also a book for you. This may not be the best for very young readers because of frank discussion of the real horrors of war.
