A journey into the heart of God
Growing up, I was encouraged not to ask too many questions concerning God. I was told to only believe and love Him. I would just secretly think to myself, though, why should I love Him? Just because He died for me? I never asked him to do that. Besides, what has He done for me lately? But who was I to argue with God? He had all the muscles and often sounded as if He were threatening, "Serve me or else ..." Still, I longed to have His favor and to know that we could be friends, even when I felt I wasn't good enough. There just had to be more to Him than being a big bully.
Worth Every Drop is the result of my intense desire to understand the often complicated, sometimes contradictory, picture of God. It is discovering who He is, and interestingly enough in the process, discovering who we are. This book is about relentless, passionate pursuit—mine, yours, and His. It is a life-changing journey into the heart of God.
